Speedy Chili 1 lb Ground beef
1 lg Onion -- chopped
1 cl Garlic -- crushed
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/4 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
3 To 4 tb Chili powder
1 c Water
Combine first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven; cook until beef is
browned, stirring to crumble. Drain off drippings. Add remaining
ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Yield: about 4 cups.MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Combine
first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart casserole. Cover with heavy-duty
plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 5 to 6 minutes or until meat
is browned, stirring once. Drain off drippings. Add remaining
ingredients; cover and microwave at HIGH for 10 to 12 minutes or to
desired consistency, stirring after 6 minutes.
